It’s windy out west
The NCAA Division 1 Women’s Championship in Albuquerque had its second round suspended due to wind on Wednesday. They managed to finish it today with a wind and lightning delay around 10:30. They will be playing round 3 this afternoon as a shotgun. I’m sure the officials there are struggling with trying to make sure the game is being played as intended while trying to keep the schedule moving forward.
We have a number of qualifiers for our Public Links going on today and the wind is howling everywhere. There was a big tree knocked down by the wind in the ravine in front of the third tee at Poppy Hills yesterday that took out a portion of the bridge railing.
On top of that, there is a nasty fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains that has already destroyed 10 houses.
